The Moment Everything Changed

I didn’t create the Birth Coach Method because birth support professionals were failing. I created it because I saw the incredible potential of the work.

After years of supporting families as a doula, I recognized a gap between the support I was providing and the deeper transformation families needed. Powerful coaching conversations could help move people from fear to confidence, uncertainty to clarity, and toward more active participation in their own decisions.

Those conversations became the foundation of Birth Coach Method: a way to create deeper impact for families while opening new possibilities for sustainable, meaningful birth work.

“Teaching birth support professionals is an honor.”

Why coaching belongs in birth work

Knowledge matters. So does what happens next.

Knowing about birth and going through birth are two very different experiences. Education can help families understand their options, physiology, and what to expect. But pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood also ask people to navigate fear, uncertainty, changing circumstances, difficult decisions, and deeply personal priorities.

That is where transformational coaching belongs in birth work. It gives birth professionals practical ways to help clients think through options, connect with what matters to them, and move forward with greater confidence.

Coaching does not replace education, emotional support, or hands-on doula care. It expands the professional’s ability to support the whole decision-making process and creates more possibilities for meaningful prenatal and postpartum work.
